Metrics & Miles

Welcome to My Spreadsheet
(Yeah, it's a blog—just built like a logbook.)
I’m Max, a 27-year-old plumber by trade, side-hustler by necessity, and long-distance runner by choice. Between full-time work, odd jobs, and real life, I still carve out time to hit the pavement. Running isn’t just something I do—it’s part of how I live. Especially the marathon grind. There’s just something about pushing limits—whether it’s mile 22 or hour 10 of a workday—that keeps me coming back.
This blog is my space to share what I’ve learned (and what I’m still figuring out) about running—not from a coach’s corner or elite podium, but from the middle of the pack, trying to stay consistent without losing my mind.
What You’ll Find Here
Product Reviews
Honest takes on the gear I actually use—shoes, hydration, apparel, watches, gels, whatever. If it helps or hinders my performance, you’ll hear about it.
Training Thoughts
What’s working, what’s not, and how I adapt my training around long shifts, side gigs, and everything else life throws at me.
Lifestyle Balance
Because not everyone can train like an elite. I’ll talk about what it’s like to chase PRs while managing work, relationships, and what’s left of a social life.
This isn’t a glossy influencer page or one of those “10 hacks to get faster overnight” blogs. It’s built for the everyday runner: the weekend warrior, the 5 a.m. grinder, the “fit it in when you can” crew.
If that sounds like you, stick around. More posts coming soon—gear breakdowns, marathon prep insights, maybe a few complaints about tempo runs after a 12-hour day.
Thanks for being here.
And don’t forget: go one more mile.
— Max
